= Paletta's =
Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Come and listen to me all you persons who like to pull yourself up to the dinner
table, for I have found a Deli in San Antonio you may wish to visit. It's called
"Paletta's", and is 84 years old, in continuous business by same
family. It is Italian, really Italian. They have dried pastas in all
configurations, good bread, great sausages, lots of little bottles and jars of
good stuffs. Fun to browse. Eat lunch there; have a Mamma Mia sandwich,
chips, drink, and two of you can get out for under ten bucks.
It is easy to find: I10 to 1604, Left on 1604 to Hwy 281, right on 281 and
stay on it until it becomes San Pedro, proceed south on San Pedro under 410, and
stay on it until you reach Recoleto and turn left on Recoleto. It is not
far south of North Star Mall, and if you know where Nagel's Gun Shop is on San
Pedro, that is Recoleto. Go a couple of blocks until Recoleto dead ends
and Viola!, you'll see Paletta's on the right, on the corner.
Good Eating, folks!
