The following is a collection of recipes, hints, tips and secrets that my father has passed along via e-mail to me and his friends. As some of you know or may never have known the Flat Possum Gazette was an extraordinarily fine publication that was put together by Frank Potter. He mailed it (This was BEFORE the internet!) to selected friends and enemies so that they too could avail themselves of Frank's wit, charm, opinions (wanted or not!) and best of all recipes fresh from the Flat Possum Test Kitchen. Such favorites as "Turkey with Lemons up it's butt" and the proper care and maintenance of cheese - otherwise known as "Cultivating that green and grey lump in the lower drawer of the fridge." I guess you can see why we all looked forward to our latest copy of this magnificent publication.

But Seriously, Dad (Frank) had put a lot of time and effort into honing his culinary skills. And he even built an addition onto the house to house all the new kitchen paraphernalia (Pictured above) he picked up and collected after each cooking school he visited and took classes at.  And of course he had to have a REAL commercial stove - not one of those wimpy residential jobs! He had learned a lot and loved to pass along his experiments, whether we wanted him to or not!. So, I am posting the "collection" of e-mails here in memory of an extraordinary man, My father. 

This section of the website was revived from our old website from way back in 1999.    Historical data was found on some backup drives and we decided to share a bit of my father's wisdom here...
